We have action, we have NPCs you are free to control, we love people with initiative. And we are not the usual sandboxy RPG, neither a narrative-driven one, but a story-focused writing community where each actively writing characters can make a difference and an impact on the overall plot. We are writing collaboratively a coherent story with many sideplots aside of it.
We have 4 ships of various allegiances to crew and islands belonging to the French and British crown to populate. Men aboard any ship are strongly recommended as first characters, and civilians as secondary ones. No more female sailors are allowed.
It’s 1720 in the West Indies. Peace is to be signed soon, and the former enemies will get allied against the common foe - pirates, looting indiscriminately. Privateers remain in the business only for hunting pirates. Will our pirate crew survive?
Which side are you on? Sharpen your blades, load your guns, drain that last sip of rhum and join our adventures, spreading death BEFORE THE MAST!
We all know the story. On July 31st, 1980, two baby boys were born in England — Neville Longbottom and Harry Potter. The Dark Lord set out to kill one of the boys, convinced that he was the key to everlasting life and rule over the Wizarding World, but the baby survived and Harry Potter became The Boy Who Lived. But why retell a story already known so well? Because this isn’t that story. This is only the story you think you know. In this story, only one baby boy was born who fit the prophecy. Born at the end of July to a pair of Aurors who defied Voldemort three times and lived to tell the tale, Neville Longbottom was visited by The Dark Lord little more than a year after his birth. His parents were killed, sacrificing themselves for their son’s safety, but Neville survived, unscathed save for a scar on his forehead. Neville Longbottom became known as the Boy Who Lived, the Chosen One — the Dark Lord was long since forgotten, thought dead forever. Now, it is Neville’s sixth year at Hogwarts and rumors of Lord Voldemort’s return are slowly trickling through Hogwarts.
This is a call to action.
K'addara· predestination; what God has foreordained
Centuries ago, the Great Wolf Yeeyda created humanity and promised them entrance to paradise. But there was one thing they had to do, one task given to them and their descendants: In order to reach paradise, they had to go kill each other until only one group remained. Tribes were formed, weapons were forged - and the War began.
Nowadays, only four tribes remain: Carruurta, the children, Ciidan, the legion, Xan, the whisperers, and Gaal, the non-believers. Everyone else has been killed, their corpses buried in the sand of the desert Ciid underneath the endless sun. It seems like there is no end to this massacre.
But change is ahead. Voices have arisen, questioning their God’s promise and the murdering done in his name. Many begin to wonder: Is paradise worth the bloodshed, worth the chaos and destruction?
Where will you stand when the War reaches its climax - which tribe will be yours?

think up a plot and we can 1x1. or join crystalmont. or the rp that I am slowly making about a town that survives a nuclear fallout (it’s inspired by jericho)
I struggle to come up with 1x1’s sometimes. And maybe…. I need to have a day off to do reading and writing.
For admins who run biography roleplays with applications, a clear red flag that warns you not to accept someone should be their reluctance to fill out an application. Because let me tell you, if I found a roleplay that I truly loved and wanted to be a dedicated member in, I’d happily fill out the longest application in the history of roleplay and more if that’s what it takes to be considered as a potential member.
The point of this post? To point out that if you want to create a long lasting roleplay, and by long lasting I mean with the same people playing the same characters (because you can’t have long-term plotlines when the characters are reopened again and again and you need to develop plans with the new player), then the most important step is to have an application. By having something to fill in, it already lessens and/or eradicates the possibility of you attracting players who only stay for a day. And please, I beg of you, never do character giveaways just because you want a slot filled.
Conclusion — never sacrifice the quality of your group just to fill up all remaining open characters.
what a beautiful person
And to the introverted theatre kids, public speakers with social anxiety, and florists with allergies.
Somewhere in the distance, Beethoven’s ghost is applauding.

The NDP issued a statement saying “the agreement will give China’s state-controlled companies the same protection under the law as private Canadian companies.
"In effect, it will give China access to, and control over, some of Canada’s natural resources for the next 31 years."
NDP trade critic Don Davies put forward a motion in the House of Commons in April 22, 2013, calling on the government not to ratify the agreement. The motion was defeated.
Green Party Leader Elizabeth May in a statement on Wednesday said the FIPA with China was a “sell out.”
Deputy Green Party Leader Bruce Hyer added cabinet is, “signing of this deal behind closed doors, instead of giving Parliament a say, is not just undemocratic in itself … it is also a profound attack of Canada’s sovereignty as a nation, and an erosion of the rights of all Canadians to make democratic decisions about our economy, environment, and energy.”
